SUMMARY

The IDD Services Director provides clinical and operational oversite of all IDD programs, and collaborates with stakeholders including Office of Developmental Programs, County Personal, and other service providers. This is a senior level, professional position that serves on the Leadership Team.

The IDD Services Director supervises agency Program Directors/Supervisors across multiple counties, and ensures that all programs are compliant with federal, state, and local regulations, certifications, and licensing requirements. He/she works with Program Directors/Supervisors to ensure the highest level of quality and ethical care to produce sustainable program outcomes.

Essential Functions

  • Models and fosters an organizational culture of ethics, respect, cooperation, and service excellence.
  • Provides clinical and operational leadership and direct supervision for IDD program Directors/Supervisors.
  • Evaluates, monitors, and assists in developing program standards consistent with best practice, utilization data and quality improvement data/plans.
  • Ensures correct and consistent implementation of all DCI policies and procedures and program regulations.
  • Assists Program Directors/Supervisors with developing, setting and monitoring program goals and objectives.
  • Assists the Controller with reviewing, monitoring, and making decisions about program budgets and expenses.
  • Serves as the primary point of contact with the managed care entity for program related issues.
  • Serves on internal and external committees as determined by the ED. May serve as the ED's designee on these committees.
  • Attends RCPA subcommittee meetings as requested.
  • Works closely with other Leadership Team members on projects and problem resolution for issues that arise in their respective areas.
  • Establishes and maintains positive, effective working relationships with external stakeholders.
  • Assists with various aspects of new program startup as needed, to include development of operational interaction with current parts of the agency and the larger health system.
  • Reviews and approves varies documents across programs as need to maintain regulatory compliance.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelor's Degree with major coursework in human services and/or business

Experience

5 years supervisory experience

5 years of experience working with IDD consumers
