PHEAA Student Worker (Mental Health Liaison Assistant - School Prevention)
SUMMARY
This position provides mental and behavioral health support within the framework of our Children’s Prevention Services department. This may include the models of our LIFE & Incredible Years Program, Student Assistance Program, and/or the Signs of Suicide Programs. Facilitators may serve students within elementary and/or middle and high school. Based directly within the school(s) they serve, the Facilitator conducts assessments, including crisis, makes recommendations for appropriate services and levels of care, and provides preventative supportive counseling. Facilitators serving middle and high school aged students coordinate and present The Signs of Suicide® (SOS) Program annually. Facilitators serving elementary aged students utilize the Incredible Years curriculum to coordinate and present social and emotional wellness based lessons within classroom settings.
