POSITION SUMMARY

The Psychiatric Rehabilitation (PR) Worker works directly with mental health consumers by assisting persons with functional disabilities resulting from mental illness to develop, enhance, and/or retain psychiatric stability, social competencies, personal adjustment, and/or independent living skills.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree with academic concentration in an area relevant to the position, OR
• An associate's degree and 1 year work experience in mental health direct service, OR
• A Certified Peer Specialist Certificate and 1 additional year paid or volunteer work experience in mental health direct service, OR
• A high school diploma or equivalency and two years of work experience in human services, which must include one year of mental health direct care experience.

Certifications & Licenses

• Must obtain Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) certification within 2 years.
• Valid driver's license.
