Mental Health Liaison - School Prevention- LIFE
SUMMARY
This position provides mental and behavioral health support within the framework of our Children's Prevention Services department. This may include the models of our LIFE & Incredible Years Program, Student Assistance Program, and/or the Signs of Suicide Programs. Facilitators may serve students within elementary and/or middle and high school. Based directly within the school(s) they serve, the Facilitator conducts assessments, including crisis, makes recommendations for appropriate services and levels of care, and provides preventative supportive counseling. Facilitators serving middle and high school aged students coordinate and present The Signs of Suicide? (SOS) Program annually. Dickinson is currently looking for an Adult Habilitation Center Worker to join our team. Direct service employees provide services to adults with developmental disabilities who live in community settings which include families, group homes, and Lifesharing. Based upon the principles of normalization and everyday lives, individuals are presented with opportunities to gain and enhance life experiences. Services consist of supervision, training, and support in general areas of self-care, communication, community participation, and socialization. Areas of emphasis include: therapeutic activities, fine and gross motor development, mobility, personal adjustment, use of community resources, and relationship development. These activities are designed to promote independence while allowing each person to accomplish everyday tasks in order that they may live a quality life. There is a minimum of 1:6 staff ratio maintained at all times. The day is structured to include individual and group activities. Individuals are always encouraged to participate and guide the program to their greatest extent and interest. Services must meet regulatory requirements of programs licensed under the 55 Pa. Code Chapter 2380, Older 6 Pa. Code Chapter 11 Adult Day Services, and fall within the Waiver Service Definitions authorized by the Office of Developmental Programs and the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services.

We have an opening for a Certified Peer Specialist who provides recovery oriented (in home or community based) services to individuals who also have a major mental health diagnosis. The employee must be a self identified individual who has received or is receiving state priority group services as defined in the MH Bulletin OMH-94-04, Serious Mental Illness: Adult Priority Group. The CPS draws on personal experience from their own recovery to assist the consumers, using personal stories and examples. This position requires that employee uses their own reliable transportation to perform job duties.

Mental Health Specialist- School-Based- ECCSS
The School-Based Program Mental Health Specialist provides behavioral health services within the assigned School District. These services are diverse and varied and include counseling, case management, psycho-education, and consultation. The Mental Health Specialist collaborates with school personnel, SAP team, parents and supervisor to ensure quality care. The Mental Health Specialist provides psycho-education and support to school personnel as requested, case management to identified students, and may participate in school in-services and student-related meetings as a MH representative.
