SUMMARY

This position is responsible for assisting the Program Director in the monitoring of service provision, identifying improvement needs, and coordinating essential supplies needed for direct care within a specific Community Residential home. This program provides residential services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Will ensure daily individualized care is provided to each consumer according to their ISP, are encouraging independence, respecting personal preferences, and ensuring the health, welfare, and rights of the Individuals. The above is accomplished by monitoring, coaching, mentoring and orienting new employees and current employees as need is identified.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High School diploma or GED

Experience

  • Age 18 or older
  • 1 year of direct care experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred
  • MCR minimum: 6 months of experience as a Residential Program Trainee; or one year of experience in a human services agency working with the intellectual/developmental disabilities, the elderly, or children and youth; or two years of college which includes courses appropriate to the human services field; or any equivalent combination of experience and training

Certifications & Licenses

  • Valid driver's license, good driving record, driver for 3 years
  • Capacity to successfully complete first aid, CPR, and medication administration courses
