    POSITION SUMMARY

     The Behavioral Health Worker (BHW) works closely with the Mental Health Professional and BHW counterpart to provide direct treatment services to children, adolescents, and families.

    Dickinson Center, Inc. (DCI) has partnered with various school districts in Pennsylvania to offer mental health treatment in a flexible Community and School-Based Behavioral Health (CSBBH) model.

    The CSBBH Team complements school district interventions, such as district prevention programs, educationally-based emotional and behavioral support programs, and other types of community services.

    Treatment is composed of individual, family and group therapies across a variety of settings: home, school and community. The team provides crisis services, consultation, and case management services for the students who are involved within the program.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

    Education/Experience

    A bachelor's degree in a Human Services field with 2 years of paid experience in a clinical setting.

    In lieu of the 4-year degree requirement, may include students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) who are in their senior year, have completed at least 30 credits in social work-required courses, and have completed short field experiences (requirements for the BSW degree) at the time of hire. The required 450-hour internship that counts for course credit may be completed during their employment a CSBBH provider.

            SUMMARY

            The LTSR Behavioral Health Technician provides direct support, supervision and guidance to the residents. Directly interacts with residents for support of adult daily living skills, social skills, and behavior management.             Education

              We have an opening for a Certified Peer Specialist who provides recovery oriented (in home or community based) services to individuals who also have a major mental health diagnosis. The employee must be a self identified individual who has received or is receiving state priority group services as defined in the MH Bulletin OMH-94-04, Serious Mental Illness: Adult Priority Group. The CPS draws on personal experience from their own recovery to assist the consumers, using personal stories and examples. This position requires that employee uses their own reliable transportation to perform job duties.

              This position may be full- or part-time.

              Individual with lived mental health recovery experience whom has mental health diagnosis and is at a point in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in similar situations
