Dickinson Center, Inc. has provided a continuum of mental health, intellectual disability, and Children's Prevention services in Northwestern Pennsylvania since 1958. We are a progressive non-profit organization with almost 200 employees and an annual operating budget of nearly $10 million.
We are currently seeking candidates for a Mental Health Specialist/School-based Outpatient Therapist. These services are diverse and varied and include counseling, case management, psycho-education, and consultation. The Mental Health Specialist collaborates with school personnel, SAP team, parents and supervisor to ensure quality care. The Mental Health Specialist provides psycho-education and support to school personnel as requested, case management to identified students, and may participate in school in-services and student-related meetings as a MH representative. This position may act as a liaison in seeking parent signatures to assist with engaging students into recommended treatment services.
The Outpatient Clinician assesses and treats individuals with mental health disorders, to maximize functioning in the school, home, and community. Activities may include individual, family, and group therapy, case management, client advocacy, prevention, and education.
