SUMMARY

This position Works one-on-one to assist individuals with intellectual developmental delays. Our staff work to teach basic life skills such as shopping, socialization with other individuals, and participating in their community. Our goal is in helping individuals successfully enjoy an everyday life and be an active participant in their community.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in sociology, social welfare, physical education, vocational rehabilitation, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or any other human service or social service related field is preferred.
  • Prior experience and/or training in therapeutic activities or a similar field is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with persons with mental or physical disabilities is preferred.
  • Certifications, Licenses, & Other Requirements
  • Agency-required clearances for criminal record check, child abuse, and working with children.
  • Have reliable transportation, as the job requires use of employee's personal vehicle.
  • Possess a current and valid driver's license issued by your state of residence and be able to operate an agency and/or personal vehicle safely during various weather patterns whether it is daytime or nighttime.
